We visited on a Saturday evening: atmosphere was cosy yet modern, and it was impressively full. Steak was beautifully cooked and the largest one I've ever been served: however, it was a shame that only a small spoonful of potatoes/vegetables were included. Desserts were beautiful. Would definitely return!

We moved to Bollington almost four years ago and Briscola fast became our favourite restaurant. The food is always excellent and the service is attentive and friendly. We know we're always assured of value for money and a warm welcome.

We celebrated my sons' 50th Birthday in April and my own 78th Birthday a week ago. They were both joyous occasions. The food was superb and the service was just the best. Roll on another birthday!!

I don't think you could ask anything more of a restaurant situated in a locality or a city.
The decor is very good, the restaurant is spotless and the staff are very good but the food is where it shines for sure.
If you are local then don't bother travelling miles to Manchester for sub-standard Italian food and paying a job lot of money for it when you can get fantastic food, and at a good price locally.

My husband and I enjoyed a truly delightful meal at Briscola on Saturday evening. This restaurant provided us with one of the best all round experiences we have ever encountered. The staff are friendly and professional, the interior decor is perfectly in keeping with the general theme, creating a superb ambiance. As for the food...a sheer delight for all the senses! The best produce is sourced in order for the skilled chefs to work their magic, and it certainly shows. We ordered steak for one of our main dishes and it was cooked in the most exquisite fashion. This chef REALLY knows what he is doing!! We are so glad we stumbled upon this complete gemstone of a culinary experience and we will be back. Thank-you Briscola for surpassing our expectations... and then some!

Wow - I went to Briscola last night (09/06/07) the service was not over the top or intrusive, it was just right. We weren't kept waiting too long for our food. And the food - sooo amazing. This is a place everyone must try, and I would be amazed if anyone could only go once, I'll certainly be back there in the very near future!

Had lovely evening here on 27/4/07 with 3 girls from work. Great atmosphere and food to die for, had free garlic bread as per offer and love it when table water is cold and bottled up as on the continent. Unfortunately there was no pannacotta left and we had built ourselves up to that so next time we need to eat earlier or I would recommend that they take apple pie/choc fudge cake off the menu and make more italian desserts!Will definitely be back with family

I ate here saturday evening with some friends, and enjoyed it very much. The man who took our orders was very welcoming but professional, the dining room was chic and modern and you could sit outside in their lovely courtyard if you wished. The menu was simple italian classics cooked well. I had a pizza as a main and it was out of this world, thin and topped with fresh ingrediants. I had to take mine away with me as it was too big for me! A perfect evening thanks, oh and we took up the offer of free garlic bread from onionring which was huge and also very fresh

Excellent range of Italian themed, seasonal dishes, prepared from quality fresh produce. Friendly staff, good service and informal atmosphere - recommended.

Beautiful food and make as you like it. I am a vegetarian and in some restaurants i find it very difficult to find a nice meal, but here it was perfection!! The only problem i had was getting through to anyone over the phone to make a booking.
